As summer barrels toward its end, we’ll soon be saying a fond farewell to lazy beach days and late sunsets. That’s okay, though, because a ton of fun is right on the horizon, including some of the best festivals of the season. This annual apple festival in Rhode Island, for example, is the perfect (and most delicious!) way to celebrate September.

Join or continue a treasured Rhode Island tradition with a visit to the 34th Annual Apple Festival at Johnston Memorial Park in Johnston, slated for September 10-11, 2022.

Bring the whole family along for a day (or two) that’s jam-packed with fun, including pony rides and plenty of picture-perfect spots to snap photos.

Previous renditions of this popular annual festival have also hosted an apple pie contest. Show off your pie-baking skills, and maybe even score one of the top spots.

Stroll along Artisan Row, too, where you’ll find scores of vendors selling handcrafted items, many made locally. If you’re an artist or a crafter, you may want to sign up to have your own booth at the festival.

The Apple Festival will also feature live entertainment. Nothing pairs quite as well with music than a delicious bite to eat. An assortment of food trucks will also be on hand, so you can grab a meal or a treat, and a drink.
