Although there are enough natural wonders in Texas to visit a new one every single day for the rest of your life, we all have places we tend to frequent. Personally, one of my favorites is Hamilton Pool. Swimming underneath this magical limestone grotto transports me to a Disney-esque world full of singing lobsters, happy clams, and dreams come true. I never thought this swimming hole could get any more beautiful…until now. Turns out, viewing waterfalls from different angles can showcase them in a whole new light that makes them even more breathtaking than they already are.

I think we can all agree that Hamilton Pool is one of the most beautiful places in Texas.

It’s an underground grotto with a limestone overhang and crystal-clear water, and it’s absolutely magical to visit.

Most of you probably think there’s no way it could possibly get any more breathtaking, but I beg to differ.

What if I told you that you can walk BEHIND the gigantic waterfall spilling from the rock ceiling?

It’s true! All you have to do is climb a few steps and follow the semicircular path that leads to the back of the stream.

No matter how many times you’ve been to Hamilton Pool, I guarantee you’ve never experienced it like this. Seeing nature from a different perspective can make you feel like you’re in an entirely new place.

So what are you waiting for? Summer is fading fast, and this is an absolute must-do before temperatures start dropping and lack of rainfall dwindles the waterfall to a mere trickle.

Have you ever seen the Hamilton Pool waterfall from behind?
