If you thought going surfing in the middle of the desert was impossible, get ready for a surprise! Famous surfer Kelly Slater is making the dream a reality in the Coachella Valley of Palm Springs with three high-tech wave pools. Slater has had his own private Surf Ranch for years and is bringing the fun to others in 2023.
The wave pools will be built at Coral Mountain in La Quinta, California. La Quinta is a beautiful desert area known for striking mountain views, golf courses, and its desert landscape. Coral Mountain is a planned community that will feature a hotel, spa, and many upscale homes.

They will be a great fit for all surfer levels too. There will be different options for beginners and advanced surfers, so whether you’re new to the sport or are an accomplished surfer, you’ll be able to have an excellent time here.

You can also venture outside the resort to any of the fun destinations in the surrounding area. If you’re a golfer, you’ll be mesmerized by the views from the courses. Just make sure to inquire with individual locations about whether you have to be a member to access their golf courses.
