The four-mile drive-thru road takes you past several different areas where you can see bison, elk, deer, prairie dogs, and a variety of birds.

But have you ever wished you could extend your stay? You can do just that with the Wildlife Safari Park’s campouts! These unique experiences let you sleep near the animals, learn all about the park’s residents, and even enjoy a campfire and s’mores.

There are several choices for sleeping arrangements. You can rent one of the park’s five canvas tents or stay in the wildlife education center, a comfy building with electricity and running water.

For the more adventurous camper, there’s also the option to camp in/near your car. Bring a tent or simply tuck yourself into a cozy spot inside your vehicle. Note: RVs, pop-up campers, and fifth-wheel campers are not allowed.

The Wildlife Safari Park offers campouts that are open to the public (with reservations), each one with a different theme. Whether you’d like to catch a meteor shower, gaze at the stars, chase fireflies, hoot with the owls, or take a nighttime hike, you’ll find a campout experience that’s perfect for you.

The park’s campout programs run from May through early November and typically go from 7 p.m. to 9 a.m. the next morning. There are special campout events for Mothers’ Day, Fathers’ Day, and Halloween, plus a long list of educational events throughout the summer.

There are evening campouts designed for younger kids or families who don’t wish to stay the entire night. If you’re camping with a group, you can even enjoy a private campout!
