There are a plethora of gorgeous waterfalls in the northern part of Wisconsin. In fact, we’ve suggested a road trip around this part of the state because there are so many gorgeous spots to check out. With that being said, there’s one particular park that has two spectacular waterfalls near me that are only a half-mile apart from each other. One very simple hike gets you double the breathtaking views. What could be better than that?
Marinette County is known for having many of Wisconsin’s great waterfalls and there are plenty to choose from.

But, just about a half-mile apart, outside of Pembine, are Long Slide Falls and Smalley Falls on the Pemebonwon River.

These falls are unique because they don’t feature one dramatic drop, but instead have a more gradual fall of water tumbling over giant rocks, creating a dramatic effect.

The river is an interesting brown color, stained by bark and wood to look almost like foamy root beer.

You’ll need a county park pass in order to access the parking lot. For a low fee, you’ll have access to these two beautiful and unique waterfalls near me.
To access Long Slide Falls, you’ll head north out of Pembine on US 8/141. You’ll then follow the signs to Morgan Park. From there, you’ll follow the signs to Long Slide Falls. The waterfall is about four miles past the park.
