Have you sometimes wondered, “are there any waterfalls near me?” Let’s be honest: Rhode Island is not known for its massive waterfalls. Instead, we have several beautiful spots along rivers that offer pretty little cascades. The Blackstone Bikeway is a 11.6-mile bike path that takes you from Woonsocket to Cumberland. On one short little section of the trail, you’ll find two waterfalls. Take a look!

This short portion of the Blackstone Bikeway is just 3.4 miles each way.

Waterfalls Near Me April 07, 2022 Beth Price-Williams What are some of the best waterfalls in Rhode Island? We’re so lucky to have quite a few natural and manmade waterfalls in Rhode Island, most of which are incredibly easy to access. The waterfall at Slater Dam, for example, is so easily accessible you just have to walk from your car to it for beautiful views. It’s absolutely breathtaking all year around and, if you have the time, you might want to go for a tour of the Old Slater Mill while you’re there. Journey to the darling village of Shannock to see our next waterfall; it’s nestled along the Pawcatuck River. You definitely don’t want to forget your camera, so you can snap photos of this manmade wonder. If you’re up for a short but sweet hike, head over to Arcadia Management Area, where you’ll find a picturesque path that leads straight to Stepstone Falls. Sit down on one of the rocks near the small but mighty waterfall that offers an idyllic backdrop for photos. What are the best scenic hikes in Rhode Island? One of the very best ways to explore our beautiful state is on foot. We have so many scenic hikes in Rhode Island that it’s tough to decide just where to start. The Fisherville Brook Wildlife Refuge Trail in Exeter promises a ton of natural beauty as you travel along a beautiful wooden boardwalk. The trail clocks in at 3.3 miles and offers beautiful views of a tiny waterfall, a stream, and a pond. Wander along the 1.4-mile loop trail at Goddard Park, a path that’s perfect for hikers of all ages and skill levels. You’ll travel through beautiful wooded area and along a sandy beach on this perfectly picturesque trail. The Melville Park Blue Trail in Portsmouth tallies less than a mile, but it offers the ideal opportunity to relax and to enjoy the scenery, including blossoming wildflowers in the spring.
