You might not be able to fill up your tank anymore at Dairy King in Commerce but you can sure fill up your belly. This small burger joint used to be an old filling station from the 1920s and is now a beloved dining gem on the Mother Road. It has changed hands over the years and for the last 30 years has been locally owned and operated. They serve mouthwatering burgers, adorable Route 66 cookies, and ice cream in the cutest little cottage-style building. The next time you’re traveling through northeastern Oklahoma on Route 66, make your way to Dairy King for a deliciously good meal.
Dairy King is located at 100 North Main Street in the small town of Commerce, home to around 2,000 residents. They are open Monday-Friday from 10:00 a.m.- 6:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.

Dairy King’s location started out as a Marathon station in the late 1920s and then changed owners over the years before landing in the ownership of the Duboise family, who currently own and operate it.

Much hasn’t changed over years inside this place. It still sports a retro theme with red and white checkered walls and red booths. It’s like taking a step back in time when you walk through the doors…and that’s one of the things we love about it.
