Would you believe us if we told you that the Galveston Railroad Museum is not the only train hotel in Texas? Be still, our locomotive-loving hearts! In Fredericksburg, Texas, you have the opportunity to spend the night in a historic, antique train car VRBO that’s just a few blocks away from Main Street. The car is named after the Four Sixes Ranch in Wichita County and was used by the owner, S. Burde Burnett, to make his travels to and from the ranch more comfortable. Fun fact: Theodore Roosevelt even took the car on an excursion from Fort Worth to Oklahoma! It’s been passed around the country countless times over the years, but managed to find its way back to Texas. Luckily, the current owners have made some major renovations to the inside and transformed it from an industrial, cold locomotive to a cozy, romantic cottage on wheels. This is a unique getaway in Texas you’ll definitely want to experience. What are some other train excursions in Texas? Here in Texas, we’re pretty big on trains.
