These three small towns were each the starting point for a famous – or infamous – figure in American history who changed the country forever.

Salmon P. Chase was one of Abraham Lincoln’s allies, and was later appointed to the Supreme Court by him. He would later preside over the impeachment trial of Andrew Johnson.
