This Waterfall Is One Of The Most Beautiful Hidden Gems In All Of Oregon

There’s nothing quite like the wondrous feeling you get when you visit a huge, spectacular waterfall. Oregon is home to all kinds of gorgeous cascades, but few can compare to the majesty and beauty of the little-known Salt Creek Falls. Nestled away in the Willamette National Forest, this one-of-a-kind waterfall is easily accessible, and it’s positively breathtaking. Check it out:

Located in the Willamette National Forest, Salt Creek Falls is one of Oregon’s most spectacular cascades.

This amazing 293-foot waterfall pours thunderously over a mossy rock wall into a dramatic canyon surrounded by miles of dense green forest.

An short walk leads to a gorgeous observation deck from which you can view the waterfall as it plunges brilliantly into a deep blue basin. There is also a wheelchair-accessible ramp.

If you’re feeling adventurous, continue along the trail as it winds down into the canyon, allowing you to see the stunning waterfall from below.

For those looking for a longer excursion, the Diamond Creek Falls trail begins at the Salt Creek Observation Site as well. This 2.5-mile loop trail features views of Salt Creek Falls as well as the lovely Lower and Upper Diamond Creek Falls.
