In fact, Heyd Cemetery is so haunted and full of ghosts that Landoll’s Mohican Castle hosts regular ghost hunts through the castle grounds. Even though the castle itself dates back only about 20 years, Heyd Cemetery was established in the early 1800s, and there are plenty of stories swirling about this haunted hotspot in Ohio.

Many have encountered a ghostly child wandering the grounds of Landoll’s Mohican Castle. Known as the “little girl in blue,” she mostly haunts the old graveyard on the property, surprising more than a few guests and staff members of the hotel – whether they’re on a haunted tour or not.

An old church, dating back to the 1830s, used to stand next to the graveyard. There’s a story behind that, too, but you have to take the tour to hear it!
