Nowadays, it sometimes feels like everything’s been done before. Finding an attraction or restaurant that feels truly unique and unlike anywhere you’ve ever been can be difficult. If you’re looking for a park that’s different than anywhere else in the world, we’ve got the perfect spot for you. A floating island park in New York sounds pretty neat, doesn’t it? That’s what you’ll find at Little Island NYC, a man-made oasis in the Hudson River that’s unlike any other park in the Big Apple. It’s small, but it’s an architectural feat of engineering that’s absolutely fascinating, and it offers plenty of family fun opportunities.

We can’t get over how cool this place is! The artificial island is just outside Manhattan’s Meatpacking District and Chelsea neighborhoods.

The island is supported by 132 “tulip pot” structures that protect the park from even the most extreme of floods.
