Ever get tired of hiking the same old popular trails in Connecticut? We have quite a few – obviously, they’re popular for a reason! We aren’t denying that the great tried-and-true hikes are worth checking out. However, there are lots of lesser-known trails in the Nutmeg State that are just as much fun. If you’re looking for a quiet afternoon out in nature, look no further than the Washburn Preserve in Branford. This nature preserve is pretty quiet and rarely gets very crowded. Here, you’ll find a wonderful trail that’s worthy of an adventure!
The Washburn Preserve is an oasis tucked away in the Stony Creek area, just off the Long Island Sound. It’s made up of several different tracts of property, and has quite a few miles of trails.
