You don’t have to endure a long and difficult hike to see some spectacular beauty in the Beehive State. In fact, southern Utah is home to the Red Reef Trail, a scenic waterfall hike that is easy, short, and inspiring. This is the perfect hiking trail if you want to spend time outdoors by yourself or you are searching for an adventure that your entire family can enjoy.

This out-and-back hiking trail is quite easy and gorgeous. You will walk through some beautiful red rocks and an enchanting desert landscape as you explore.

As you approach the waterfall, water will begin to cover the canyon bottom. During the spring, the water level can become high, making it difficult to reach the falls and potentially closing the trail. Other times of the year, just stick to the canyon sides and follow the trail — you’ll be just fine.

Once you reach the waterfall, you are in for quite a sight. This is not a tall waterfall, but it is still quite inspiring.

While you can always turn around at the falls, you will find a rope and Moki steps next to the falls and along the canyon wall. This will allow you to climb on top of the falls and continue exploring the canyon and surrounding area.
