Boardwalk trails in Connecticut are lovely. If you’re an experienced hiker, they’re a nice change of pace from an elevation-gaining mountain hike. If you’re not accustomed to hiking, they’re a great way to get started. The peaceful scenery provides plenty to look at. Since these trails are typically in marshes or on the beach, they’re a dream for bird-watchers. The relatively flat surface makes for an easy hike, and they tend to not be very long. One of our favorite boardwalk trails in the state is at the beautiful White Memorial Conservation Center. The easy Little Pond Trail is a refreshing treat regardless of your skill level.
