Best hikes in Oregon April 15, 2022 Sarah M. What are some of the best hikes in Oregon? Here in Oregon, you don’t have to go far to find a seriously scenic and enjoyable hike. It’s really what you’re in the mood for! Wanting to do a little waterfall chasing? We recommend heading to either Silver Falls State Park or the Columbia River Gorge; the former is home to the legendary Trail of Ten Falls, which features (as you might’ve guessed), 10 absolutely incredible cascades. The latter, the Columbia River Gorge, is a veritable treasure trove of waterfalls, with the Oregon side home to some 90 wondrous waterfalls! You could spent days and days tackling the waterfall trails here, in fact, which is a challenge we happily accept. Looking for a beautiful hike through Oregon’s old-growth forest? This trail is one of our favorites; it’s a bit off-the-beaten-path, but you’ll find the lush, verdant surroundings irresistible. Of course, you can’t go wrong with the Hobbit Trail, an easy, accessible hike that winds through fairy tale forests and ends at a beautiful secret beach! Speaking of beach hikes, the Oregon Coast is a wonderland of amazing trails and treks, and we share 10 of our absolute favorites in this article. Among those on the list, we absolutely recommend checking out the beautiful 3.6-mile trail located in Ecola State Park, which leads to an amazing, serene hidden beach where you’ll find incredible sea stacks, vast ocean views, and more. While you’re there, be sure to check out Crescent Beach, a secluded spot that feels like your very own hidden oasis! Another can’t-miss trek on the Oregon Coast has it all: it’s a super short-and-sweet hike that leads to a hidden beach near Arch Cape. Hug Point is a magical place where you’ll find cool caves, tidepools, and even a gorgeous waterfall cascading right onto the sand. A secret waterfall right on the beach? This is easily one of our favorite hikes in Oregon – period.
