And in the Bluegrass, the Kentucky State Fair is a longtime favorite; an annual event many look forward to year after year. Held 11 days every August, there’s nothing better than the Kentucky State Fair; and with national headliners and new attractions, the 2022 fair promises to be bigger and better than ever.

Every August, the streets of Louisville light up for 11 fun-filled days (and nights). The reason? The Kentucky State Fair, which, since 1816, has been entertaining generations of Kentuckians.

During the 11-day event, more than 600,000 fairgoers fill the 520 acres of indoor and outdoor exhibits of the Louisville Expo Center for a variety of activities (more than 70, in fact), old and new.
