What’s better than a warm day at a winery in Connecticut? How about a warm day at a waterfront winery in Connecticut? Vineyards are absolutely gorgeous places, and there’s no better place to be on a warm spring or summer day. One of our favorite wineries in Connecticut is Saltwater Farm Vineyard. Located on 108 acres in Stonington, this waterfront winery offers amazing views, delicious wines, and an all-around wonderful afternoon.

Saltwater Farm Vineyard is tucked away just beside Wequetequock Cove in Stonington.

In 2001, the dormant lot was purchased and converted into a winery featuring dozens of acres of vines.

Other remnants of the property’s history remain. The main building at the vineyard was once the hangar. It’s been remodeled, of course, but features much of the original wood sheathing.

The curved wood ceiling looks like the inside of a wine barrel: such a neat aesthetic!

There are plenty of wines available here for sample and purchase. They’ve also got ciders, beers, and non-alcoholic options on tap.

Weekends often mean live music, and there are sometimes other events going on at the vineyard.
