Hoosier National Forest offers 204,000 acres of rich, preserved natural space in south central Indiana. This park alone accounts for almost half of the public forest land in the state. There are three camping loops, two group camping areas, a beach with a modern bathhouse, and picnic tables available for reservation. Whether you decide to camp for a week or just spend the day, Tipsaw Lake has all the equipment you’ll need.

Recreational opportunities abound around Tipsaw Lake. There are a number of walking and hiking trails you can utilize to better explore the forest. There’s also a boat launch for paddling or electric motor boats, and fishing on the lake is encouraged.
