The gorgeous colors are always a welcome sight after a long winter and a sign of warm weather for the next several months. If you love flowers, did you know that there are several flower farms across the Land of Lincoln where you can pick your own stems? It’s true! Today we will discover one such u-pick flower farm in Illinois and it’s one you will want to add to your summertime bucket list.
The aptly-named Wildflower Farm is open seasonally from early-to-mid July through late September. It is located in the village of Monee in the suburbs of Chicago.

This boutique flower farm is locally-owned and grows a dozen varieties of flowers across its acreage.

When you visit the farm, a $5 admission is charged per person (over the age of two) who does not want to purchase a container and pick their own flowers. The admission price is for access to the fields and is totally worth it! However, if you purchase a container, the admission fee is waived.

If you want to pick your own flowers, you must purchase either a small or large jar, a mug, or a pitcher. You can then fill your container with as many flowers as you can fit. However, it does not include the dahlias or sunflowers.

Dahlias and sunflowers are sold by the stem. Dahlias will be sold precut as visitors are not allowed in that particular field.
