Whether you call it home or you’re just visiting, seeing a welcome to Massachusetts sign may very well be the very best sight in the world. After all, this state has so much to offer in terms of scenery, attractions, history, dining options, resorts…the list goes on and on! How do you feel when you cross the border into Massachusetts? We certainly hope you feel welcome.

Those of us who grew up in Massachusetts or have lived here for a time certainly carry a lot of state pride around. That’s why when we leave the state and come back, just the sight of a “Welcome to Massachusetts” sign means that we are coming home.

We are lucky to live in a state that has such easy access to other states, especially the ones that border it. But when you leave and visit neighboring Connecticut, Rhode Island, Vermont, or New Hampshire, coming back to Massachusetts is a wonderful feeling.

There are many aspects to the Bay State that make it so special. Whether it’s beaches or mountains, cities or small towns, museums or sports, we have it all.

Then, of course, there’s the food scene. There’s certainly no shortage of delicious restaurants from fresh seafood to just about anything else you may be craving.

Just knowing we have some of the best sports teams in the country is reason enough to feel plenty of pride for our state.

Come summertime, though, a “Welcome to Cape Cod” sign is an exciting thing to see. That’s when you know that days of laying on the beach during your summer vacation are just moments away.
