We love the winter here in New Hampshire, but spring is when things really come alive! As green appears all over the state, we’re focused on getting outside and experiencing everything the state has to offer. Fortunately, we’re not the only ones with this goal in mind. Festivals pop up all over the place and this one, arguably the best spring festival in New Hampshire, is not to be missed!

The town of Jackson is one of the most beautiful and quaint towns in New Hampshire. It’s also home to a must-attend spring event.

The day is made up of music, activities and lots of fun. You’ll find local food, crafts made locally and a unique race that you’ll only find in a place like this.

We love the parade, too. It begins at 1:30 p.m. and travels throughout the area. Keep your eyes peeled for all sorts of rubber ducky themed goodness.

You can even stop for a chance to “meet” “Wildquack,” the Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce Duck. We didn’t know that such a thing existed, but it somehow seems like an absolutely necessary part of any town’s function.

While we love just how much there is to do at the festival, it’s the duck race that most people look forward to all year. It’s the main event, which also makes it quite busy. Be sure to arrive early to get a good viewing spot.

Get a duck to take part in the race and watch them all float their way to glory! This is, by far, one of the best spring festivals in New Hampshire and you won’t want to miss it.
