Pumpkin train ride in Utah August 24, 2022 Courtnie Erickson What are some things to do in the fall in Utah? Fall in Utah is one of our favorite times of the year. The weather is cool, fall foliage creates the most magnificent scenery, and the list of things to do is long and extensive. One of our favorite fall activities in Utah is to visit a pumpkin patch. There are pumpkin patches all over the state you can visit and many towns from Logan to St. George offer locations that you’ll want to check out. You may even want to head to Wheeler Historic Farm in Murray for the annual Pumpkin Days. This pumpkin event lasts throughout the entire month of October and features a pumpkin patch, straw maze, beautiful fall foliage, and so much more. Just make sure you stop and say hi to the barn animals that live at this city park and working farm. Another activity that you will not want to miss during the fall in Utah is the Green River Melon Days Festival. This fall festival celebrates the variety of melons and their growers in the area. The festival takes place each year during the third weekend in September and is packed with activities ranging from a parade to a melon carving contest. Are there any other scenic train rides in Utah I should check out? The Heber Valley Railroad is one of the only scenic train rides in Utah. But, that’s okay because they know how to offer an experience that your entire family will not forget. Throughout the year, you can enjoy all types of rides on a historic train such as beautiful scenic rides, holiday rides, and even themed rides from princess and pirate rides to superhero rides.
