Fun Fall Activities In Pennsylvania August 25, 2022 Beth Price-Williams What are some fun things to do in the fall in Pennsylvania? Fall in Pennsylvania is absolutely glorious. In fact, it’s probably fair to say that our calendars are just as jam-packed – if not more – than they are during the crazy busy summer months. A ride aboard a pumpkin patch train ride is certainly a highlight, but that’s just the tip of the proverbial iceberg when it comes to all of the fun on the horizon. We have so many corn mazes, haunted houses, hayrides, and farms to visit that there is something fun to do all season long. We also want to take advantage of all of the leaf peeping opportunities. For some of the most gorgeous views of the fall foliage in Pennsylvania, make your way to Kinzua Bridge. Stroll along the Skywalk, where you’ll also be able to look down 300 feet, through a glass floor, to the forest below. Ohiopyle State Park is popular all-year around, but in the autumn? You really have to experience Cucumber Falls and Ohiopyle Falls framed by the vibrant colors of fall for yourself. A trip to Pine Creek Gorge – the Grand Canyon of Pennsylvania – should top your fall bucket list. It boasts some of the most awe-inspiring fall views in the entire state, maybe even the country. If you’re looking for things to do in the fall in Pennsylvania, why not go on a scenic hike? Drink in the crisp, fresh air; enjoy the cooler temperatures, and soak up the scenery. (If you go near or during peak fall foliage, you’ll be treated to some stellar views, too.) For an oh-so-short but utterly sweet trek, follow the .01-mile trail at tiny Hyner View State Park. It leads to sensational views and, if you’ve got the time, have a picnic at one of the tables. Hint: If you’re a real daredevil, you can even go hang gliding at this quaint Pennsylvania state park.
