The Oyster Festival, also known as Oysterfest or OysterFestival, is a huge deal on the north shore of Long Island’s Nassau County. It takes place along the waterfront in Oyster Bay, a town named for oysters. People have been harvesting oysters in this area for hundreds, if not thousands of years.
