The Low Gap Trail is a 10.3-mile loop trail that starts and ends at the official Morgan-Monroe State Forest HQ.
Aaron Goulet/AllTrails It’s wonderful for plenty of reasons, but one of our favorite reasons is that it truly feels like a place you’d hike in, say, a movie or science fiction novel more so than a trail in the American Midwest.
It’s rated as moderate and has some rocky, hilly portions in between areas that are mostly even and flat.
