One of our favorites is the Riverton General Store. This historic building has been a pillar of the small community for over a century. Not only does this place sell wares as you’d expect at a general store, but it also houses a cafe that has some of the very best sandwiches in Connecticut.

This store has played an important role in Riverton for over 150 years, at one time even serving as the town’s post office.
