Since its humble beginnings in 2016, the festival has grown from a one-day event in Lafayette Square to a three-day festival in Woldenberg Park jam-packed with activities, live music, and all the fried chicken you could eat.

More than 200,000 people are estimated to attend this year, a new record for one of New Orleans’ newest festivals.

There will be three outdoor stages, two for music and one for cooking demos.

Each vendor has their own unique spin on this classic Southern staple, so you can expect to see some of the most unique combinations imaginable in addition to traditional fried chicken.

The festival is free to enter, but you can upgrade your experience by purchasing a VIP experience, which gives you access to a 2,000-square-foot lounge with restroom access, soft drinks, water, seating, and a great view of the stages.

There will be a kids corner for the little ones and a Football Fan Zone screening both college and NFL games, so you don’t have to miss the big game.

The end of September can still be pretty hot, but the folks behind the festival have already thought of that. The Chill Lounge is great for misting and cooling off in between fried chicken breaks.
