That spot is the Edinburg General Store, which is a lot more than meets the eye.

Andrew Filer/Flickr The Edinburg General Store may sound and look like your typical small town store. This place will make you feel like you’ve stepped back in time to an old style general mercantile while also holding some more unique aspects. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, after all. Not only does this store sell your usual hardware and regular home goods, but they also sell, well, pretty much every other odd and end you could think of. The store is also special in that they have model trains running through the building. How neat is that? The Edinburg General Store also has a “bird room” to show off the fact that the town is sometimes referred to as the bird capital of North Dakota.

The Edinburg General Store is located at 67 4th Avenue, Edinburg, North Dakota 58227.
