Whether you have lived in New Mexico your entire life or you are new to the Land of Enchantment, you know that this great state is truly the best place to call home. After leaving the state for some time, whether on a road trip (we love our road trips!) or for another reason, there is no better sight than coming home and seeing the large road sign that says “Welcome to New Mexico.”
It doesn’t matter where you are coming from, when you come to New Mexico, you are entering an area that is beautiful, filled with adventures, exciting, and unique. From mountains to deserts to white sand, the Land of Enchantment truly is … enchanting!

If you are entering the state from the north, you may be traveling on small highways near Farmington or on I-25 near Raton. It can seem like there isn’t much around for miles and miles but keep driving — you’ll eventually come to charming small towns, unique natural wonders like Shiprock, and more.
