  1. Georgia Guidestones - Elberton

Flickr Dina Erik One of the epic wonders of Georgia, the Georgia Guidestones are a pretty mysterious attraction in Georgia, dating back to the 1980s. The rock structure is inscribed with 10 guidelines in eight modern languages that provide directions for rebuilding civilization after the apocalypse. As one of the most enigmatic structures in the country, the mystery behind these polished granite stones are what make them mythically great.

  1. Berry College - Mount Berry

Flickr Shane Clements There are so many different aspects of Berry College that make it fit perfectly with a fairytale setting in Georgia. Whether it’s the old castle-like structures themselves, or the nearby mill and pond, there is something so ethereal about the area. Our favorite attraction is the mill: the Berry College Grist Mill was constructed in 1930 and was actually a gift to Berry from a local manufacturing company. The wooden overshot waterwheel is actually considered one of the largest in the world, at over 42 feet in diameter. It is one of the most enchanting must-visit attractions in Georgia…. almost like you could picture Hansel and Gretel wandering through the forest and happening upon it!

  1. Clock Tower - Rome

Flickr rasteron The old Clock Tower in Rome, Georgia, is one of the oldest landmarks in the entire city. The decagon shape is so unique, plus the red brick features make this a beautiful sight to see. We can just imagine Rapunzel letting her golden hair down the side of the tower to let the prince climb up. This is an irresistibly charming spot in Georgia!

Fairytale Places in Georgia June 02, 2022 Sarah M. What are some other fairytale places in Georgia? In addition to the half-dozen fairytale places in the above road trip, the Peach State is home to many, many other spots that seem to have been plucked straight from the pages of a fairy tale. For example, did you know that Georgia was home to a handful of castles? Most likely not. Some notable castles in Georgia include Bonnie Castle, a stately Victorian home located in Grantville; the Castle Atlanta, also known as Fort Peace, that is the former home of a rich agricultural supplier and today sits smack in the middle of the city; Cagle Castle, a private property that is a huge tourist attraction for residents and visitors to Georgia – many people call this “Dwarf Castle” and really, you have to see it (from behind its surrounding fence, of course) to believe it. Are there any treehouses in Georgia? Staying in a treehouse is a real-life fairytale adventure, and luckily, there are many places in Georgia that allow you to do just that. In Chattanooga Valley, Georgia, there is a treehouse getaway that is perfect for a romantic weekend away. This glamping spot in Chattanooga Valley, Georgia is the perfect place to surround yourself with nature, and maybe even a little bit of snow, for one incredible weekend away. Along the Tennessee and Georgia border, Treetop Hideaways in Georgia features rustic and refined treehouse accommodations that have everything you need to rest and relax. These charmingly rustic treehouses are the perfect lodging to get away for a weekend but still have everything you need, and really take the concept of “treehouses in Georgia” to the next level.
