Some of Montana’s top attractions involve a lengthy drive or a hefty hike to reach. But some of our quirkiest attractions barely require you to get out of your car, if you’ll even have to unbuckle your seat belt at all. We’ve always been known for our quirky roadside attractions, and we embrace that.

This road trip route takes you to some seriously unique spots you’re sure to love. Feel free to complete the trip in the order that makes the most sense for you, add some stops of your own if you’d like, and have a blast.

Holly Hayes / Flickr Next, head up to Libby and find the Kootenai Falls Swinging Bridge. The falls here are gorgeous, and it’s worth walking the extra half-mile to take in the scenery. But if you want to stick to roadside spots, you can always find and cross the swinging bridge. Don’t worry, it’s nice and sturdy and offers amazing views.   1. Paul Bunyan’s Fry Pan, Heritage Museum

Gary Lenz / Google While you’re in Libby, you’ve got to stop and see Paul Bunyan’s Fry Pan outside the Heritage Museum. Believe it or not, this was actually used for cooking at Libby’s annual Logger Days festival in the 1970s. The locals retired it from service when everyone realized it was simply impossible to clean.
