Rhode Island’s highest point tallies 811 feet, and it’s easy to get there. You can’t drive the entire way; once you arrive near the highest point, you’ll have to go on a short walk.

Jerimoth Hill sits along Hartford Pike, also known as Route 101. Signage to Jerimoth Hill is plentiful, so you shouldn’t have difficulty finding it.

Keep an eye out for Pole #212. That’s where you’ll get out of the car, and head to the trail that leads to the exact spot that marks the highest point in Rhode Island.

The trail is short at just around .03 of mile, and it’s easy, so just about anyone can follow it. Expect your trek to take about five minutes one way.

Stroll along the tree-lined path that, until 2005, sat on private land. Today, it’s a popular spot anyone can visit.
