Texas has no shortage of waterfall hikes, but we’re always up for a new adventure. If you agree with that sentiment, Inks Lake State Park Loop definitely belongs on your bucket list. Less than 1.5 miles round-trip, it’s an easy hike – but don’t let that fool you. The trail leads through a rugged, rocky landscape to a breathtaking waterfall, and you’ll be in awe at first sight.

Just an hour northwest of Austin, Inks Lake State Park is a true Hill Country gem.

Among the park’s most popular trails is Inks Lake State Park Loop, a 1.2-mile hike that parallels the beautiful Spring Creek.

The trail remains flat for its entire duration (besides a tiny bit of rock scrambling in the beginning, which we hear kids can’t get enough of).
