Exploring Oklahoma, especially when we’re hiking, usually promises plenty of surprises – whether we run into local wildlife or we discover beautiful rock formations. An abundance of natural beauty awaits, for example, on this waterfall hike in Oklahoma. It’s definitely one for the bucket list if you’re up for the challenge.

Meandering 1.5 miles through Wichita Mountains National Wildlife Refuge, Post Oak Falls Trail will take you straight to a beautiful waterfall.

However, you’ll be treated to an abundance of natural of beautfy along the way. Just be prepared for somewhat of a challenge along this trail that’s been rated moderate.

You’ll face a few challenges along the way, including several elevation changes. In some spots, the trail is unmarked, so be prepared for that, too.

You’ll definitely want to hike after a rainfall, so you can see the waterfall at its strongest. Dry weather usually means the waterfall doesn’t flow.
