As the weather warms up, we all love to spend afternoons outside, and what’s more fun than a day of tubing in Ohio? If you live in south-central Ohio, you’re right next to one of the most fun outdoor adventure purveyors in the state: Hocking Hills Adventures. The scenery in the Hocking Hills region is to die for, and what better way to experience it than from a tube or canoe floating breezily down the river? All that time outdoors is sure to whet your appetite, so afterward, you’ll want to fill up your tank and hit the road to Taqueria El Fogoncito, an authentic Mexican restaurant with some of the best tacos in the state. The whole trip is right around an hour and you won’t even go through an entire tank of gas. Check out the route on Google Maps.

Not within driving distance of south-central Ohio? We’ve got several fun pairings of places you can check out in other corners of the state!

You’ll want to fill up with gas before hitting the road, but don’t worry, we promise you won’t go through an entire tank of gas even if you take the scenic route on this epic tubing adventure in Ohio.

One of the great things about living in Ohio is all the outdoor adventures you can have, but we’re particularly fond of the “lazy floating down the river” method of enjoying the surroundings!

Hocking Hills Adventures offers all kinds of fun for the whole family. Their specialty is river trips via canoe, kayak, or tube, but they also offer miniature golf, go-karting, and horseback riding.

Tubing in Ohio June 24, 2022 Sarah M. What are some other great places to explore in the Hocking Hills region of Ohio? If you enjoyed tubing in the Buckeye State’s beautiful Hocking Hills region, you will want to lace up your shoes for some epic hiking adventures! Hocking Hills State Park in Logan, Ohio, features seven hiking areas, as well as mountain biking trails and a plethora of other amusements and amenities. It is one of the most resplendent regions of the Buckeye State, offering some of the most sublime scenery and bucket-list-worthy outdoor recreation. The hiking here is second to none, especially if you’re a hopeless waterfall chaser like us. You can literally spend days exploring dozens of caves and waterfalls in Hocking Hills, and that’s an outdoor adventure we’re all too happy to embark upon … and actually do, in this amazing itinerary for a day trip to the region! What are some other river tubing trips in Ohio? Enjoy tubing in Ohio on a hot summer day? Us too! One of our favorite bodies of water for epic lazy river tubing is the Little Miami River, which you will find in the southwest part of the Buckeye State. The Little Miami Canoe Rental has two locations along the river. To go tubing, you’ll want to visit the Oregonia location. Out on the water, you’ll feel at peace taking in the sights, sounds, and smells of this beautiful 111-mile river, which stretches across several counties in southwestern Ohio. Take the two-mile tube trip and let the river’s current do all the work. You just sit back, relax, and enjoy the view. This is a fantastic and accessible option for beginners and families alike, and a wonderful way to experience the splendor of the Buckeye State!
