Springtime in Oklahoma is so beautiful and one of the best places to spend a magical afternoon is at the Butterfly Papilion at Honor Heights in Muskogee. It’s the only butterfly house in Oklahoma and it’s open seasonally from Mother’s Day weekend to the end of September. Plan a trip and watch these beautiful creatures flutter right by you in the open-air butterfly house.
Honor Heights Park is located in Muskogee in northeastern Oklahoma and is a gorgeous botanical park to visit, especially during the spring and summer when the flowers are in bloom. The park is open to the public 7 days a week from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

The Papilion houses a Butterfly House and teaching garden and is located inside the park. The gardens are free to enter and the butterfly house costs $3 for adults and $2 for children.

The Butterfly House is the only one of its kind in the state and it’s truly a magical place. The hours are different than the park’s hours, so be sure and check their Facebook page for the latest hours of operation.

Visitors can stroll through the open-air pavilion on their own or head out to the teaching gardens to learn more.
