If you enjoy waterfall hikes in Oklahoma, head to Broken Bow to Skyline Trail for an epic adventure. The trail is almost 12 miles long and rated as hard but the views are spectacular. You’ll trek across bluffs, through lush forests, along a river where you’ll see a lovely little waterfall, and you’ll also come across a hidden waterfall with a swimming hole. Skyline Trail is an 11.6-mile loop trail in Beavers Bend State Park in Broken Bow. The hike is rated as hard due to the length and steepness of the trail.

The views are one of the most spectacular things about this trail. You’ll climb up to higher elevations and get to see for miles and miles away in one of the most beautiful state parks in the state.

You want to be an experienced hiker if you hike Skyline Trail. The trail also connects with Cedar Bluff Trail, a 1-mile loop trail so you have some options if you don’t want to hike the long distance.

The trail has a south and a north trailhead. Both trails are about 5 miles long and can be accessed from Dogwood Campground.

One of the most spectacular things on Skyline is the hidden waterfall you’ll encounter. It’s tucked away in the forest and is a beautiful surprise along the route.

There is a little swimming hole at the bottom of it so if you bring your swimming suit, jump in and get refreshed.

You’ll also cross some creeks and travel along the river where you’ll see another waterfall. Skyline Trail is one of the best hikes in the state but just remember that it is for advanced hikers. Try the Cedar Bluff Trail loop if you’re looking for a shorter hike in the same area.
