One of the many benefits of living in Idaho is to enjoy the breathtaking beauty found in the Gem State every day. While there are many ways to surround yourself with the natural beauty of Idaho, one of the best is on a hike in the mountains. The Mores Mountain Loop is a 2-mile loop trail near Boise that is a bit challenging but absolutely beautiful. In fact, this is one of the most scenic hikes in Idaho and it certainly deserves your time and attention.
You will find the Mores Mountain Loop Trailhead off of Forest Road 374E in the Boise National Forest. You can find the trailhead near the Shafer Butte Campground and picnic area.

Mores Mountain is home to three different loop trails that each vary in distance: 1 mile, 1.3 miles, and 2.1 miles. The 2.1-mile loop trail is the hike we are focusing on today and is where you can truly immerse yourself in some of Mother Nature’s greatest creations.
