The Cape Fear community of Wilmington has its fair share of both scenery and incredible restaurants. Head downtown and you’ll find an overwhelming number of bars and eateries just waiting for you to try. One unique restaurant in North Carolina you just have to dine at is located on Chestnut Street in the heart of Wilmington’s downtown. Savorez offers a phenomenal, one-of-a-kind menu you can’t find anywhere else.

Savorez was opened by chef/owner Sam Cahoon, a Wilmington native. Located in a brick building at the corner of 4th Street and Chestnut, it has become a local favorite since it first opened its doors.

When you take a look at the menu, prepare to be amazed at the options you’ll have. You may be tempted to order one of everything.

There is a creative selection of homemade salsas and guacamole served with tortilla chips. If you can’t decide between the pineapple salsa, salsa verde, or sweet potato-goat cheese “guacamole,” you can order a sampler instead and try them all.

Check out the variety of empanadas on the menu as well. Between the chicken tinga, chorizo & goat cheese, sweet potato & black bean, and the smoked tuna, gruyere, and red pepper, there are some difficult decisions to be made.

And then there are the crispy quinoa flounder tacos, jerk shrimp tostadas, vegan Rellenos, and more, all so beautifully plated they look like works of art. You won’t find any other restaurant with the flavors and creative dishes that can be found at Savorez.
