This reservoir is located on the border of Weston and Redding, so locals drive by often. It’s a great place to actually check out, though. You can’t swim or boat in it, so it may not be the best option for a fun-filled family day … but it’s certainly great for some tranquil solitude! - Lake Saltonstall: Branford, CT

Bring along your friend(s), or just enjoy the peace and quiet by yourself. The lake is right in the middle of Saltonstall Mountain and the surroundings are gorgeous. - Great Hollow Lake: Monroe, CT
