Reno Nevada Is The Best Small City In America According To This List

It’s official! A list of America’s 100 best small cities was recently released and none other than our very own Reno can be found at the top. This just confirms a fact that we’ve known to be true for a long, long time. The Biggest Little City in the World is simply a destination unlike any other. We can think of about a billion reasons why Reno of all places was named #1, but here’s what the report specifically had to say about it.

BestCities.org ranks U.S. cities each year, and none other than Reno took the #1 spot. We’ve known for awhile that the Biggest Little City in the World is something special, and this ranking just confirms it!

Resonance Consultancy is the organization behind the annual Best Cities ranking. Using exclusive methodology, the list is meant to inform travelers about the absolute best urban destinations to visit in the world.

This isn’t the first year that Reno has been highlighted by Resonance Consultancy and the Best Cities list. The city actually ranked sixth last year. It does feel good to be at the top, though, and beating out cities like Naples, Florida and Santa Fe, New Mexico.

The report specifically focused on Reno’s “natural assets and growing infrastructure” that’s turned it into a must-visit destination for travelers. Although prominently known as a casino town, Reno also goes all out for things like art, culture, and innovation.

The report also mentioned the city’s “enviable location.” Surrounded by the beauty of the Sierra Nevadas, Truckee River, Mt. Rose, and the world-famous Lake Tahoe, nature lovers can find plenty to love about this gorgeous town.

The city is also home to quite a few attractions that simply can’t be found anywhere else in the world. From the National Bowling Stadium to the massive rock climbing wall on the side of the Whitney Peak Hotel, these iconic destinations solidify Reno as a well-rounded destination for travelers and residents alike.

A part of us wants to keep Reno our personal little secret forever, but at the same time we couldn’t be happier that this city is getting the recognition it deserves. There’s definitely a lot to love about Reno, Nevada!
