The resort and spa originally opened in 1863 and later underwent thorough renovations in 1910. It was further modernized and renovated to its current state, reopening in 1991.

The real star of the resort is the outdoor pool. It’s a graduated depth pool with both a deep and shallow end. The surrounding deck has chairs and tables, and a convenient heated sidewalk connects the pool to the bathhouse.

No matter the season, the pool remains a consistent 96-100 degrees thanks to the geothermal mineral water from the on-site hot springs. The same springs are used in the steam rooms and showers as well.

While relaxing in the heated pool, guests can take in the gorgeous view of the surrounding area. The resort is adjacent to Deerlodge National Forest which is home to wild animals such as foxes, elk, and bears.
