There are two types of people, those who love fries and those who simply haven’t had good fries yet. And both of those types should appreciate a potato-themed restaurant. Washington’s Potato Corner location sits tucked inside Seattle’s Westfield Southcenter Mall. But this little spot happens to have a long history and an international following. When you’re craving some crispy, tasty fries, you can’t go wrong with this place. Washington is one of only 12 states to have a Potato Corner....

Ask native Nebraskans what phrase they associate with our state and you’re bound to hear “The Good Life.” These three little words were our state’s slogan at one time; since then, our tourism board has proclaimed that we’re “Nebraska Nice” and cheekily claimed that “Honestly, it’s not for everyone.” Still, our welcome signs bear those familiar old words, and we think they’re the most accurate way to welcome people to the Cornhusker State....

Delightful small towns in West Virginia abound – there are more than we can possibly number. In fact, by many counts, small towns are almost the only kind of towns we’ve got here in the Mountain State! So of course it’s true to say that the heart and soul of West Virginia is the small towns. And while we can’t even begin to list them all, here are seven communities with some of the best, most unique downtowns in West Virginia....

As we all know, summer lasts a little longer in our region, and it’s really always the right answer to get a delicious frozen wine slushie in Southern California. Enter the beautiful Peltzer Winery in Temecula. Found just a quick 30-40 minute drive from San Diego, Temecula is widely known for its wineries. This one stands out though. It features the fun specialty known as a “frozeezy,” and we can all but guarantee you’ll be back for more after your first one!...

We’ve got a lot of different landscapes in the Peach State, but it’s tough not to love our marvelous mountains. There’s something so quaint and romantic about the mighty hills of Northeast Georgia. Did you know there were a lot of famous people from Arizona? From actors to political figures, the list goes on and on. We aren’t surprised – Arizonans are a special bunch, after all. Indiana has absolutely no shortage of state parks. There is a state park in Indiana that, for whatever reason, doesn’t get as much love as the others. This park is known more for the ghosts that supposedly stalk the grounds than anything else, and for good reason: it’s scary as all get-out after dark....

While McCook, Nebraska, may be a small town with a population of less than 8,000, it is full of historical significance, most notably, the Harvey P. Sutton House, the Museum of the High Plains, and the Senator George Norris State Historic Site. If you’re looking for a fun and educational day trip in the Cornhusker State, you can’t go wrong with any, or all, of these historical locations in McCook, Nebraska....
