It is no secret that Utah is a nature lover’s paradise. With some of the busiest national parks in the country and a long list of incredible state parks, there is never a shortage of outdoor activities in our great state. However, when you want to get away from the crowds and just enjoy a little time in nature, we highly suggest going someplace a little different — the Ogden Nature Center.
The Ogden Nature Center is a 152-acre preserve that is not too far from I-15.

When you first arrive at the Ogden Nature Center, stop by the Visitor Center near the main entrance. Here, you can learn a little more about this little-known nature center and some of the activities it offers.

Head outdoors and enjoy the various walking trails. Keep your eyes out for animals as all types of wildlife call this area home.

There are multiple ponds you can check out and you may spot all types of birds, frogs, tadpoles, and maybe even a turtle or two.

Come prepared to climb up the observation towers or into the treehouses to give you a different vantage point at this nature center. These are not only excellent areas to see even more animals, but you can capture incredible views of the nearby mountains as well.

There are also many unique and exciting exhibits all throughout the Ogden Nature Center. Check out the human-size mouse hole, get up close to native birds of prey, and even climb through the human-size bear den — adults and children will love these areas of the center.

If you bring young children along, make sure to stop by the LS Peery Nature Nook Natural Playground. This is a natural playground with all types of structures, tunnels, and more that are just waiting to be explored.
