Cemeteries can be quite creepy places to walk around. However, many of them can be beautiful. There is one beautiful and haunted cemetery in Massachusetts you may wish to explore one day. The final resting place of the Borden family, two of which were murdered in the most grizzly way back in 1892, this picturesque cemetery has experienced its fair share of paranormal activity.
Oak Grove Cemetery is set on 120 gorgeous acres in the city of Fall River. Established in the 1850s, this cemetery is on the National Register of Historic Places. Strolling the grounds, you will find some stunning Gothic-style architecture along with beautifully manicured gardens.

Graves of some of Fall River’s most notable residents can be found at Oak Grove Cemetery, including members of the Borden family. As you walk around, see if you can spot Abby and Andrew Borden’s headstones. They were victims of the most infamous homicide in Massachusetts back in 1892.

And, of course, Lizzie Borden’s grave is also here. Accused of murdering her father and stepmother, she was later acquitted.

While Oak Grove Cemetery is a gorgeous place to take a walk, it’s also considered one of the state’s most haunted. Over the years, there have been numerous reports of paranormal activity.

Among the paranormal activity, visitors have experienced here are screaming near the Borden graves as well as lights that cannot be explained. People also get a general uneasy feeling around this cemetery as well.

Among other residents buried here at Oak Grove are Lizzie Borden’s defense attorney, Andrew Jackson Jennings, and Sarah Maria Cornell, another murder victim. Maybe you’ll get an uneasy feeling by their graves as well.
