Did you know that Indiana is truly one of the best states you can raise a family in? It’s true! It’s a safe little state with all the things to do in the world without the hustle and bustle of more populated locations (unless, of course, you end up in Indy). So, that being said, what are some of the best things to do with kids in Indiana? Maybe you should check out this epic park in Noblesville, which might just be the coolest thing you can do with your kids outdoors for free. Finch Creek Park is our new favorite family-friendly park in Indiana, and we suspect it’ll be yours, too!

Finch Creek Park is only a couple of years old, making it one of Indiana’s newest, hippest places to take the kids.

Sanjay Kalluparambil/Google Local It’s enormous, with so much to do packed into the space that the kids won’t even know where to begin. That’s okay - give them a few hours and they’ll be pros in no time.

There are different playgrounds for older kids (5-12) and younger kids (2-5), as well as all kinds of fun amenities kids of every age will enjoy.

…the giant xylophone and other musical playground equipment that can be found throughout the grounds? Hey, it’s up to you (and them).

Lisa Waugh/Google Local For the youngsters who enjoy sports, there are plenty of sports to be played at Finch Creek Park. The fieldhouse is host to lots of local kids’ sporting events, and it’s the perfect place for your athletically-inclined younguns to get all that excess energy out before coming home for the night and going to bed. There are also four pickleball courts, a basketball court, and more.

There’s even a pond onsite, where you can hang out and contemplate life while the kiddos are off having the time of theirs.

Timofey Pirogov/Google Local The park is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. - weather permitting, of course. Adult supervision is strongly advised for children of all ages, though the park is quite safe - you never know what kind of shenanigans the kids can get themselves into.

While they’re here having the best day ever, you might be able to get in a little quiet time to yourself - with the sounds of happy children playing in the park in the background, of course.

Brian Christopher/Google Local Other features of this incredible kid-friendly park in Indiana are the aforementioned splash pad (bring towels!), changing tables in the women’s and men’s rooms, and so much more. They sure did manage to jam-pack all the fun in the world into this little family park in small-town Indiana.

The kids may never want to leave. It’s alright… we didn’t either.

Jon Flegel/Google Local Of course, that just means you’ll have to return tomorrow. No biggie.

For more information about this delightful place to take the kids this summer, be sure to check out the official park’s website. It can be found in the Wayne Township on the eastern side of Noblesville. Don’t forget to keep browsing for more ideas about things to do with kids in Indiana!
