Cascades National Recreation Trail is the one you’ll want to take. This wonderfully scenic trail measures about four miles, so be sure to plan accordingly. You’ll want proper footwear and a little sun protection, although the majority of the trail is in the shade.

Most hikers agree that the trail isn’t too strenuous. There are also bathrooms and a picnic area at the beginning of the trail.

The main attraction is, of course, Cascade Falls. Measuring just over 60 feet, this breathtaking waterfall spills into a natural swimming hole. It’s chilly but undeniably refreshing after an exhilarating hike.

In the winter, Cascade Falls is just as spectacular, with fewer crowds, although we certainly wouldn’t recommend going swimming during the off-season!
