There are several haunted cemeteries in Texas where you just might see a ghost, including the historic Oakwood Cemetery in Huntsville. Known for being the final resting place of General Sam Houston (and a number of other influential figures in Texas history), this nearly 200-year-old site also has quite a few ghost stories associated with it. Despite its alleged hauntings, the cemetery is undeniably beautiful, with massive trees providing shade for meandering paths that lead through the gravestones.

If you are even remotely interested in Texas history, Oakwood Cemetery in Huntsville is a must-visit destination.

Oakwood Cemetery is the site of much unexplained phenomena, particularly in the area surrounding the grave of five-year-old Rawley Rather Powell. Above his headstone, a life-size bronze statue of Jesus has quite a few ghost stories associated with it - visitors claim to have seen his hands move from a palm-up to palm-down position. His eyes supposedly follow you as you walk, as well.
