Natural beauty is a given, just about everywhere we go in Rhode Island. However, for some of the most jaw-dropping views in the state, you’ll definitely need a bit of stamina. Mohegan Bluffs in Rhode Island offer some of the most amazing views you’ll find anywhere in the state – and far beyond – and they’re well worth a spot on the ol’ bucket list.
Hop aboard one of the ferries to Block Island, for a journey to arguably one of the most beautiful places in the state - Mohegan Bluffs.

Towering 200 feet above the ocean, the chiseled bluffs draw visitors from all over Rhode Island and beyond, and it’s easy to see why. The views are absolutely incredible.

Drink in sweeping views from atop the bluffs. However, if you’re up for it, head down the staircase that leads to the shore.

Just remember that you’ll have to climb back up those stairs when you’re done visiting. The trek can be rough, so be prepared for the challenge.

If you’ve got a few hours free, follow the picturesque 6.9-mile out-and-back Mohegan Bluffs Trail.

The trail meanders between the ocean and the bluffs. However, it’s not your typical walk on the beach, so you’ll need sturdier shoes than flip flops.

Because you’ll be on the beach, be prepared for full-on sunshine. Bring plenty of water, snacks, and sunscreen. The hike usually takes around two-and-a-half hours.

Whether you just take the stairs to the ocean or you head out on the hike, you’re in for a one-of-a-kind adventure. Don’t forget to bring your camera.
